Maiko at their high level

Today I'm going to talk a little bit about maiko, which are japanese before they become fully geisha. Maiko are apprentices until they are 15, if I'm not mistaken. So their job is to have clients as many as they can because without them they cannot have money. So what they do is entertain their clients by dancing for them and doing some games after dinner.

The differences that you can find on a maiko and a geisha is that maiko normally have more decorations on their clothes than the geisha. The logic that japanese have is maiko need to show their beauty since their early years, so that they have clients in the future easily. Their kimono change when the season changes. The obi that they have on their stomach changes when they become geisha, it is a feature that is unique on maiko.
